We had TONS of great food on our vacation to Asheville, NC! (Be warned, however, it’s mostly coffee and donuts;)

If you know my family at all, you’d know that we’re SERIOUS about our coffee and donuts. We won’t leave a location we’re visiting without first finding all of the coffee shops and trying each and every one. So, needless to say, that’s mainly what we ate on our 4 day stay in Asheville, NC!

These first few pics are at a place called Vortex Donuts. They had so many crazy-cool flavors! (Did I say that right??)

I think that by far, this place was the best as far as donuts went. We LOVED their salted caramel cake donut… and we even had to come back for seconds on another day.

Since Braden and Kinslee were at camp, I got to travel with Mom and Dad all by myself! It was really relaxing (besides the fact that I had to drive 7 hours to get down there…!) and by the end we had eaten so much, I didn’t want to see anything deep fried ever again.

(Also…I promise that my dad was just as excited as I was about these donuts! He just hadn’t had enough coffee that morning yet, I think;)

Okay. We’re gonna pause on the coffee for just a minute because we found the most AMAZING restaurant while we were in Asheville, NC!

I never knew chicken could be so good. Like seriously, there was a sauce on it and it was drizzled with honey….ugh. I wish I could have some more right now!

Okay, so this coffee was one of my absolute favorites of the weekend. Mainly because they made a PEANUT BUTTER and CHOCOLATE iced coffee!! I got sooo excited when I saw it on the menu, and it was as good as I knew it would be!

Okay, LAST coffee shop. This place was called “The Hole”, and it was by far one of the most unique coffee places I’ve ever been!

While my parents opted for the Vortex donuts, I seriously loved The Hole donuts. They kind of tasted like elephant ears, but that made it all the better for me!!

There was a ton of other places we ate that week, but I’d say these were the absolute best. So if you’re ever heading to Asheville, NC,  go ahead and give these a try for yourself!

(P.S: There’s a TON of pictures, sorry not sorry!)

Dependence.

There’s a constant battle on where we place our dependence. Where will we choose to place our trust in the simplest and in the hardest of times? I depend too much for someone who is a natural leader. As an extrovert, I love taking charge, talking, and being the best I can be for everyone […]
